The Club is located in the Alverstoke area of Gosport, off Fort
Road. It is well established in the local community and has
just celebrated it's 20th birthday in May 2011. The Club
continues to thrive due to the efforts and commitment shown by the
players, the support of the managers and committee, and not least of
all, the parents.
In March 2010, the Club
secured a lease on a 'Home' ground and 'Club- house' at Monckton Sports
field.
Through the work of dedicated volunteers, the inside and outside of
the pavilion has been made very presentable and was ready for use
towards the end of last season. More work will be done as time
goes on and more funds are raised.
This year the Club has 11 teams, from
U8's through to U16, which compete in the Portsmouth Youth and Mid-Solent Youth Leagues. The Club
also holds training sessions for 4 - 6yr olds, with a view to these
children entering a league at a later date.
Gosport Falcons FC takes a highly
responsible and professional approach to youth football and the
committee, including all team managers, are well acquainted with the
F.A's Child Protection Policy and their responsibilities to the
children under their guidance and supervision.
Following FA guide-lines, all our officials have gone through the
process of completing and submitting CRB forms to THE F.A. The Club
also has in place a Child Welfare Officer who has completed the
appropriate course/s with Hampshire FA.
We have in place an elected Committee who, with the members and
parents, have the responsibility for the management of all affairs of
the Club. We have a constitution, rules and codes of conduct which
we would expect all our officials, members, parents and spectators to
adhere too and abide with the FA Code
of Conduct and the Equal Opportunities and Anti-discrimination
Policy.
Although there is a
dedicated team of people running the Club today, it is always ready
to welcome new people with an interest in helping and developing our
