This season we have
3 new teams joining us, they are the U11s, U13s and U14s Saturday
teams who all play in the Mid-Solent League. The remaining 7
teams all play on Sunday's in the South Hants Glass League in and
around the Portsmouth area. The U8s, U9s and U10s age
groups all play mini-soccer whilst the others are all 11-a-side.
First
introduced in the 1990s, the popularity of Mini-Soccer has led to
continued growth over the years. Depending on the age group,
the number of players and size of pitch can vary from four-a-side
for the youngest, to seven-a-side for the under 10s (check out
the link opposite).
Each team, from the U9s to U14, have their results recorded and
updated weekly on their 'Results and Table' page so you can follow
their progress. Following a ruling introduce last season by
the FA, teams at 8 and under are not permitted to record results and
have tables.
This new ruling also includes their taking part in summer tournaments. |
